Because these rods break down into two equal sections of 6ft 1.5in (1.84m) with a separate 1ft (30cm) lower handle, you get a 13ft rod which is as easy to transport as a 12ft.
This new rod and sleeve arrangement is a simple but revolutionary design which is wonderfully convenient and avoids all the problems and tangles associated with three piece made up rods.
As the design also reduces the number of ferrules in front of the hand, the balance and action of the carbon blank is noticeably improved.

Breaking down into twin 6ft sections, this excellent carp waggler rod is the most convenient length for ready made up float rigs in a rod sleeve. At 12ft, with a slightly forward tip action, it’s long enough to cast decent distances, to provide good line control and to manage hard fighting fish around marginal weed.

The forgiving power play action becomes apparent as extra pressure is applied, a feature that definitely helps land bigger carp.
